Troll Hunter F.T. Movie Review

Troll Hunter   7/10
Otto Jespersen, Glenn Erland Tosterud, Johanna morck
Those sneaky Norwegian bastards are hiding some rather huge secrets in them there backwoods and mountains of theirs...a whole new breed of huge secrets to be more precise! A 'not very bright' college camera crew track and trace what they think is a poacher of bears, for an interview into his apparent misdeeds. They eventually manage to hunt him down only to find, to their stunned amazement, that he is hunting bigger game than bears...Trolls! Pissed off by losing out on hazard pay, sick pay and overtime bonuses from the Norwegian government, the hunter agrees to let our band of inexperienced documentary film-makers follow him on his newest hunt, 'blair witch' style through the woods and mountains of Norway, with disastrous consequences...

TERROR   1/5

Think more Jurassic Park rather than actual horror and you're closer to the real feel of the movie as It's not really a horror movie at all, no matter what section you find it in in the local video shop! Please don't let that put you off though as it is a hell of a lot of fun to watch nonetheless! There's giant fricken' monsters rampaging through the woods for god's sake, what more do you need?!

Will you stop with that fucking light???
GORE   1/5

A single, solitary point for a shitload of slime, no real blood or gore in this one so if that's solely what you're after in a horror then this isn't for you. Oh, and you probably need some therapy too...

NUDITY   0/5

Nope, no naked humans within, there are however some naked Trolls...but believe me when I say that they aint bringing sexy back.

Gimme five tin-man!!
CHARACTERS/PLOT   4/5

For a low budget European serving this is actually an extremely well written little monster movie and kept me gripped and happy throughout, even after I had initially guffawed at my Girl's choice of film! Don't be a dick and opt for the English language choice though as it loses quite a bit in translation, keep with the subtitled version and you can't go wrong.
Cue the inevitable American remake for people that are just too damn lazy to read subtitles...I do despair.
